2021 Toyota Venza vs 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid

If you thought you saw the last of the Venza when the station-wagon-esque vehicle was discontinued back in 2017, you were wrong. And thank goodness you were because the new model is absolutely stunning! Completely revamped from the ground up, the new Venza is a hybrid-only vehicle much like the Prius, but this time belonging to the midsize crossover segment. It makes a great competitor for the recently released Honda CR-V Hybrid that joined its brand’s lineup last year. The 2021 model year is certainly an exciting one for Toyota and Honda!

New Hybrid Crossovers Available in Lima OH

We decided to take a look at how exactly the two models fare against one another by pitting them side by side in this comparison. The two vehicles are incredible comparable to one another, but they do each have their own subtle enhancements when it comes to specifications. Outside of specifications, they’re incredible similar, each offering some of the best available features and technologies their respective brands have to offer, such as Honda Sensing and Toyota Safety Sense, for example.

When it comes to specifications though, you can take a peek at the table up above to get an idea of how they fare. In the first row we looked at performance, in which the Venza offers 7 hp more than the CR-V Hybrid. It carries that advantage into fuel economy as well, somewhat surprisingly, by achieving an extra mile per gallon. Neither of these differences are particularly game changing, however.

The CR-V Hybrid certainly makes up for those areas in which it lacks as well, by offering an extra 4.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, despite both vehicles offering seating for up to 5.
