Most of the trims receive a new standard rear-seat reminder system, contrast-stitched leather-appointed seats in the EX-L trim, and the availability of the Honda Performance Development (HDP) package. A new off-road-oriented TrailSport edition has also been added to the 2022 Passport’s lineup. The 2022 Passport is available in three trims, namely EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite. All the 2022 Passport trims get leather-upholstered seats. This is not the case with the Highlander as it comes with cloth upholstered seats in the base trim while the higher trims get leather upholstery. Both the SUVs are comfortable and offer ample space for passengers. While the Passport can house five passengers, the Highlander gets third-row seating suitable for children.
Both SUVs come with an eight-inch touchscreen display, as well as Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB ports. The Highlander can also be configured with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display on the higher trims. The infotainment systems offered in both these vehicles are refined and offer seamless usage capability. The Highlander offers a few extra features like Amazon Alexa compatibility and Wi-Fi Hotspot, to name a few. But at the same time, the Passport also offers an impressive list of features.
