This more powerful engine option of the Tacoma boosts its towing capacity to 6,400 pounds. The Tacoma also has more ground clearance compared to the Ridgeline making it a better option for off-roading. That said, both the trucks offer a balanced and smooth driving experience.
Both the trucks get commendable interiors. They are clad with premium material all over. Base trims of both the vehicles get cloth-trimmed seats. Front seats of both the vehicles get manual adjustable front seats while the higher trims get power-adjustable front seats along with heated front-seat function. Moving to the higher trims, the Ridgeline and Tacoma get genuine leather upholstery.
The Honda Ridgeline gets an eight-inch touchscreen display while the Tacoma gets a seven-inch touchscreen as standard. The higher-trim Tacoma’s are upgraded with an eight-inch screen setup. Features are quite extensive on both trucks. They get Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and Bluetooth connectivity as standard. The Tacoma gets added features as standard when compared to the Ridgeline. This includes features like Amazon Alexa compatibility, SiriusXM radio, and Wi-Fi hotspot. But other than that, the infotainment system on both trucks is easy to use and offers seamless and easy functionality.
Both the pickup trucks are well equipped with a load of features. They are practical and convenient at the same time. They have their own distinct advantages. The Ridgeline offers a great deal of capability and is more suitable for highway commute. The Tacoma on the other hand is a bit more off-road oriented and just as comfortable on the road. This makes both these trucks one of the best options to choose from if you are in the market for a new light-duty pickup truck.
