2021 Toyota Corolla Exterior Driver Side Rear Profile

When you hear the word iconic, your mind might immediately jump to a vehicle like the Toyota Supra. It’s an icon to be sure, with its legendary performance always keeping it on the tip of everyone’s tongues. But, when it comes to the Toyota lineup, the most iconic vehicle might just be the Toyota Corolla. Why is that? Because it’s been around since all the way back in 1966. That’s nearly 60 years – six decades – of experience within the small sedan class. Now, we’ve got the 2021 Toyota Corolla, the second year of the nameplate’s twelfth generation, for sale right here in Lima OH.

New Compact Sedan Available in Ohio

Last year, the Corolla was completely redesigned and reintroduced as an all-new compact sedan. It even introduced a hybrid powertrain variant for the first time in its 54 years on the market. Now for the 2021 model year, even more enhancements are coming to the recently redesigned vehicle. Android Auto compatibility is now standard across the Corolla lineup of vehicles, as is a 3-month All Access trial to SiriusXM.

In addition, the Corolla adds rear side airbags to the mix, making for a total of 10 airbags throughout the vehicle, plus Rear Cross-Traffic Alert with Blind Spot Monitor is now standard on the XLE and XSE trim levels. That makes the Corolla even safer than previous iterations, and the latter is also available on the LE, LE Hybrid and SE grade with CVT. Automatic Engine Shut-Off is being added to every model as well, meaning the vehicle will shut off after a certain amount of time if you leave it running. Finally, the Corolla LE gains an available Convenience Package, which adds Blind Spot Monitor, the Smart Key system and a set of 16” alloy wheels.

Perhaps most exciting of all, however, is the addition of the new limited-edition Corolla Apex Edition. Toyota is building 6,000 units of this special trim, which can be built onto the SE or XSE trim. It adds a host of features and other advancements, which you can read about on the White’s Toyota blog.
