2021 Honda Civic vs 2021 Toyota Corolla
Two of the most iconic and recognizable vehicles on the road today are without a doubt the 2021 Honda Civic and 2021 Toyota Corolla. These vehicles have each been around for nearly if not more than five decades, longer than any other model from their respective brands. Therefore, not only are they each two of the longest-lasting vehicles on their brands, but together they’ve formed one of the longest rivalries in automotive history. Here at White’s of Lima, our dealerships each carry one of these icons, so we thought we’d see how they measure up to one another.

As you can see from the table above, these two vehicles are very comparable to one another. Unfortunately for the Corolla LE, the Civic LX does edge it out in a couple of areas, while the best the Corolla can muster is matching the Civic. Let’s take a closer look, though.
In the first row we looked at horsepower, arguably one of the most important aspects of any vehicle if you’re interested in getting where you want to go on time but also enjoy the experience. The Civic LX offers 19 hp more than the Corolla LE, which isn’t a huge advantage but definitely gives it a leg up. This is typically accompanied by a deficit in fuel efficiency, but that’s not the case here as both models are matched in that regard at 33 miles per gallon combined across highway and city driving.
In the third row we looked at how much space is available in each compact sedan’s trunk, and the Civic offers two extra cubic feet. That might not seem like a lot, but when you’re trying to pack all of your luggage for the road trip, it might be a little more noticeable. Regardless, each sedan offers seating for up to five.
There is much more to these two vehicles than just what’s visible in this table, though. Each has its unique style and they’re both packed full of outstanding content, like Honda Sensing and Toyota Safety Sense, respectively. If you have any questions about either model, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We look forward to hearing from you!
